Usually when I'm designing bracelets, pendants or wine charms, my 6 year old son is somewhere nearby. He loves to share his "design ideas" with me so I give him string and some beads and let his creative side take over. And of course, it gives me a little quiet time to work. To show my love and to thank him for being such a wonderful and sweet kid, I surprised him with this bracelet one day after school. He loved it and was so excited that I had made him a bracelet! I was not expecting his overjoyed and grateful reaction, which put a huge smile on my face! Later, he very astutely suggested I should make more to sell for other boys since he thought it looked "cool".
For this bracelet, I used 1mm stretch black cord and wood beads with different tones of brown. I found in my collection of beads, some great opaque light blue ones that I thought created a nice contrast to the browns, plus gave the bracelet a masculine look. Lastly, I added his name to make it extra special, but it would look great with only the brown beads and some small color beads for contrast as well.
So cute! I love the bracelet and I think Andy makes a great business partner. :-)
